Function of Legalon & key message

The high absorption  formulation of Legalon® has been proven to be effective with 3 major functions and pharmacological effects, i.e., antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic.4

Ingredient of Legalon: Milk Thistle

The active ingredient of Legalon® is milk thistle fruit extract.9 It contains silymarin, which is calculated as silibinin.9 Milk thistle is a plant originated from Europe and its above ground parts and seeds are used to make medicine .10 In most cases, milk thistle is taken by mouth for liver-related problems.10 One capsule of Legalon® has 173.0-186.7mg of dry extract from the fruits of the milk thistle, which is equivalent to 140mg of silymarin.9

Dosage & administration
Adults and adolescents
Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above shall take 3 times daily 1 hard capsule of Legalon® 140.
The hard capsules are to be taken unchewed with an appropriate amount of liquid. 9
